7. Registering Rate Level: Combining Promotions

This article aims to present the registration of rate levels combining promotions in the hospitality segment.

First, access your EXTRANET and click on HOTEL - Rate Levels. In addition to being able to define the rate level for a specific agency, by type: Early Booking / Last Minute, or by Period, you will now also have the possibility to combine these types of promotions for the same period, using the following parameter.

In both cases, you will fill in the date ranges in which they will be applied:

Reservation start date: Valid start date for the reservation.

Reservation end date: Final deadline for making the reservation.

Service start date: Check-in date.

Service end date: Check-out date.

By Period: This option is used when there is a specific period in which the reservation and/or check-in must be made.

Reservation confirmation period:

No period: Select this option when there is no specific period for making the reservation; the system will apply it to any date.

By period: Select this option for promotions that have specific date ranges for customers to book. After selection, the Start Date and End Date fields will be displayed.

Service/check-in dates:

No period: Select this option when there is no specific period for the guest to check in at the hotel; the system will apply it to any date.

By period: If the hotel specifies valid check-in dates, indicate the start and end dates in the calendars.

Stay period (days)*: Indicates on which days of the week the promotion is applied.

Minimum stay: Minimum number of nights required to apply the promotion.

Discount %: Percentage discount applied through the promotion. When a value is entered in this field, the next options are disabled.

Value: Fixed amount applied as a discount in the promotion. As mentioned above, entering a value here disables the other options.

Number of free nights: If the promotion offers free nights, indicate how many nights will be deducted from the booking. As mentioned above, entering a value here disables the other options.

Dates when promotional rates do not apply: If the promotion has any restricted dates, you can indicate them in this field. The discount will not be applied on these dates, and you can add as many as needed by clicking “Add”.

Rooms: Select the rooms to which you want to apply these offers, or, if you wish to select all rooms, you can also choose the option “All room types”.

Active: by checking this box, you are activating the promotion for sale.

After all data has been entered, click Save, and in the Rate Level Settings list you will see a “fire” icon indicating that at least one promotion has been created.
